Things were a little different this year but it was still a day full of fun and excitement.

Fantastic weather made it a very special occasion.

Despite the pedestrianization of the High Street, the procession was still able to travel though the town pleasing the crowds of onlookers.

The Braintree Court were at the front of the procession having represented the town at other events during the past couple of years, at last they got the chance to shine at their own Carnival.

The vehicles had to be smaller but entrants were very inventive with their floats, some using two vehicles or walking.

At the Carnival field, before things got too busy, there was a special hour on the Funfair with reduced lights and music to give SEN children chance to enjoy the rides.

Entertainment was provided during the afternoon and evening by local performers and singers.
